| 411 | Keyboard - Own Interpretation / | Your own interpretation of any standard melody. This should include an Arrangementintroduction, harmonisation, variation if desired and coda. The adjudicator will require a written copy of the melody, plus a short written description of your approach. A full score must be submitted to the adjudicator if multi-tracking is used. Time limit 5 minutes. |
| 412 | Keyboard - Improvisation | The adjudicator will provide you with a written basis on which to improvise. You may choose from: i) chord sequence ii) melodic idea iii) song title (examples are available from the Co-ordinator on request) You will be given 10 minutes preparation time in a separate room. |
| 413 | Keyboard - Leisure Play | A non-competitive class for those who enjoy playing for pleasure, and would welcome the benefit of helpful and constructive advice. Adjudications only will be given. Time limit 5 minutes. |
| 414 | Keyboard Ensemble | 2 or more players. Players may each play an individual keyboard or play 2 to an instrument (only permitted in ensembles of 3 or more players). Written parts in the music may be doubled up as appropriate. Marks will be awarded according to the musical closeness of the ensemble, balance of parts and effective registrations. |
