This workshop day for Wind and Recorder Players is open to any school age child up to and including Year 6, who plays a wind instrument (woodwind or brass) who would like to come and play with children from other schools in a specially formed Primary School Wind Band. Recorder players are also invited and will have the chance to play alongside other instrumentalists in their own coaching sessions, and with the Windband. The day will end with a performance given by the children, which will be open to family and friends.
The workshop will be led by LIz Childs, tutor for the National Children's Wind Orchestra, who will also present a lunctime recital of specially selected pieces to the children. This recital is also open to the general public.
