The day will commence with a recital given by two prizewinners at the 2008 Gorleston Festival, Andrew Greenbwood and Oliver Sapsford.
The Piano Ensemble workshop will run for a second year at the beautiful Old Granary Studio venue, with many fine Steinway pianos. Places on the workshop are for beginners to advanced. Pre-formed trios or quartets will be coached on the art of ensemble playing by Beate Toyka and members of the Derby Piano Quartet. There will be improvisation classes and the chance to take part in a performance for 12 hands and percussion!. The day will end with a Bring and Share Tea and recitals (open to the public), given by the course participants and The Derby Piano Quartet.
